Seit Anfang des Jahres mache ich beim BOM 6 Köpfe – 12 Blöcke mit. Ursprünglich wollte ich einen total bunten Quilt machen, um meine Batikstoffe zu reduzieren. Spätestens nach dem 5. Monat habe ich gemerkt, dass das farblich nicht so hinhaut. Jetzt werde ich wohl die zwei lilafarbenen Blöcke nachnähen müssen. Das Rot hab ich erst relativ spät dazugenommen, finde es jetzt aber sehr ansprechend. Es könnte die Blöcke farblich zusammenhalten. Zwei Blöcke fehlen mir noch, die haben mich nicht so angesprochen bzw. sind mir zu kompliziert. Vielleicht überwinde ich mich noch oder mache andere doppelt. Für den Hintergrundstoff hatte ich urprünglich ein dunkles Lila vorgesehen, aber da bin ich mir überhaupt nicht mehr sicher.

My first idea for the BOM “6 Köpfe-12 Blöcke “ was to make a multicolored quilt to reduce my stash of batic fabrics. But by the time I saw that this wasn´t a good idea. Too chaotic! Now I have to sew the two violet blocks again. My decision for the red was first a bit wild but now I like it. It integrates the blocks I think.

Two blocks are missing – I didn´t like them too much. Perhaps I will double two others or I overcome my resistance.

Ich habe noch mal darüber nachgedacht: Vielleicht ist der lila Untergrund doch nicht so schlecht (leider ist er auf dem Foto zu blau) und ich kann den lila Block integrieren. Der Snail-trail passt aber gar nicht. Nähe ihn noch einmal neu.

I just thought it over: perhaps the violet background isn´t so bad ( on the pic it is too blue) and I can integrate the mauve block. The snail-trail doesn´t fit at all. I will sew this one again.
